Alden Shoe – Flex Chukka Restock (LSW, LSBH, & LSDT)

We’ve just received a restock of one of our most celebrated Alden makeups, the Flex Chukka.

Available in three colors of Alden’s soft “lady calf,” the Flex Chukka is one of those shoes that may not seem so great until you actually own a pair yourself. Once you wear them, we guarantee you will believe the hype. These will become one of the most comfortable shoes you own.

Alden Shoe – Barrie NST (LSW)

Three skilled women at the Alden factory are responsible for all of the handsewn NSTs and LHSs that go through the factory floor. It obviously takes more time for these handsewn shoes to be made but the wait is definitely worth it for this special detail.

This color #8 burgundy NST is a model we regularly stock on the Aberdeen last, but rarely see on the Barrie. Grab a pair while they’re available in stock.

Also pictured is the exact same pair, 12 years old, with very minimal polishing. The patina is amazing and the wear on the shell is equally so. This pair is a testament to the value in a pair of Alden shoes made with Horween shell cordovan.

JM Weston – Alligator 180 Loafer (LSW)

We’re not going to lie, this isn’t a shoe for everyone. But for those who can pull it off, it’s an amazing look, right out of the pages of 1960′s GQ.

JM Weston’s 180 penny loafer is one of the top three iconic men’s penny loafers in our opinion. It is now available in two shades of alligator, camel and burgundy.

($4495.00, shoe trees included)

Edoya “Kawadamashii” Restock (LSW)

We’ve just received another shipment of Edoya horsehair (uma) and bronze suede brushes.

In this day of mass production and automation, when a company perseveres in tradition and quality, it truly is a breath of fresh air.

Founded in 1718 during Japan’s Edo Period, Edoya started as a hand made paint brush manufacturer in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. Almost 300 years later, Edoya continues to methodically produce 100% hand made brushes to a civilization dependent on efficiency and mass production.

There are no machines in their workshop, only weathered hands with years of experience. Each brush is hand planted and hand cut with precision, calculating the length and amount of bristles, the same way it was done decades ago. It is this attention to detail and quality that maintains value, even when cheap alternatives are abundant.

Edoya brushes are Shig-Approved.

(Suede brush $65.00, Uma $85.00)
